The standard heat pumps are developed to work with Freon types, while the high temperature heat pumps are developed to work with NH3 as a refrigerant, which is widely recognized as one of the best refrigerants for heat pump applications.
Freon heat pumps with a capacity of 2.5 - 1000 kW.
Starting with the smallest NH3 heat pump with a capacity of about 60 kW, it goes up to 1.4 MW. This is based on water temperatures between +50 and +90 degrees.
